VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help run a monthly cafe for people with dementia and their family carers.
Members of the Memory Cafe at Grassacres Hall can find out more about dementia and the help available, meet with others in a similar situation and enjoy a pleasant social outing.
Volunteers offer a warm welcome, engaging and supporting members in conversations. They also assist with setting up, preparing/serving refreshments and help to tidy away at the end of the cafe.
The role is a rewarding one in a team of committed volunteers and ongoing support and training in dementia awareness is offered.
