A WOMAN has been praised by her friend following her continuous charity work helping the homeless, rescued dogs and helpless children abroad.
Michelle Bateman, who is registered blind, has been praised by friend Diane after continuing to help those less fortunate over several years in the Westbury community and beyond. Alongside her carer, Richard Dredge, Michelle has recently delivered a large box of food and essentials worth £150 for those in need to Crosspoint in Westbury.
Michelle had a thank you letter from Len Clift, chairman of Crosspoint thanking her. She has been regularly donating food and essentials to Crosspoint for six years. They have also donated food treats, and brand new blankets for rescued dogs at Bridge Farm, and also bought new clothes for the homeless people for winter to keep the warm and dry.
Every year, Michelle and Richard also compile shoe boxes to be sent to children in Africa for Operation Christmas Child which includes toys, colouring books and gifts.
Diane said, “Michelle is a kind, caring, generous lady with a good heart, if she can help anyone she would. She is currently planning a jumble sale for next year with all proceeds to Crosspoint.”
