CHRISTMAS has arrived at the Conservative Club, and there is live music and a Roman-themed murder mystery party coming up in the weeks ahead.
Festive celebrations kick off on Saturday 7th December with free live music from band, Uncle Jack from 9pm.
Organisers say, “Uncle Jack have developed their show into a mix of danceable sing-along classic rock and pop covers from the 60s through to the present day. Rock at volume level 11 or mellow with acoustic tracks, you decide.”
On Friday 13th December, the Conservative Club is throwing a Christmas disco from 9pm to 11.30pm
Organisers say, “Get your best sparkle on and dance the night away!”
Throughout the festive period, Christmas dining is available at the club.
The club says, “We are more than happy to cater for requirements for meals for a smaller group of people, right up to large Christmas parties. Contact the club on 01373 822557 for more information.”
For the club’s New Year’s Eve party there are tickets on sale now for an exciting evening to see in the new year. The club says, “There’s going to be a murder! After the great success of last year’s murder mystery evening, this year we are bringing it back, but making it bigger and better than ever – a bigger group of actors, bigger tables for more people to sit round, and a bigger theme – we are taking you to ancient Rome.
“Dig out your best Roman robes because this is not just a toga party, this is New Year’s Eve! We like to do things differently at the club and provide the best of music and entertainment and this promises to be one of the best nights. You get food and drink and a great team putting on a fabulous interactive show, with prizes at the end.
“After that you can dance through until 1.30am in the new year with our disco and have a glass of bubbly in hand at midnight to celebrate. It’s a great way and a very different way to celebrate new year, so don’t miss out.
“The whole evening is fancy dress and a ticket only event and there will be no admission at any time without one. Ticket numbers are up on last year but still limited, so don’t hang around, and purchase from the bar. Over 18s only.”
Tickets cost £45.
