Local families are invited to the picturesque former golf course, Thoulstone Park in Chapmanslade, near Westbury on Friday 13th June for a Cinema Sleepover event.
Hailed as a ‘fun-filled cinematic adventure for all the family’, the overnight camping event takes place in the heart of beautiful woodland.
The event promises a range of feel-good family films to get you into the summer spirit, with entertainment from dusk till dawn within 150 acres of stunning parkland. The event is part of a regeneration project to create an eco-sustainable event space within the disused golf course, encouraging local families to re-claim this beautiful unspoilt, natural space.
The films, all selected on the theme ‘Movies to Start the Summer’ will be shown on a large outdoor screen with an undercover option if the weather turns sour. A separate children’s cinema will run through the evening in a large yurt. Visitors can expect family yurts for indoor cover, a BBQ, bar, popcorn and delicious organic fayre, family entertainment and activities alongside the film screenings, on-site compost toilets, showers and sauna for campers and a safe and inclusive environment for all.
Parking is free for cars and campervans, and children go free (maximum of 2 children per paying adult). Tickets are £15 for adult entry, or £25 including overnight camping. Entry is from 5pm on Friday 13th June. Yurts are available for hire for the evening, contact events@thoulstonepark.co.uk for details of this offer or for more information about the event.
