The college are now offering a number of lessons on Monday to Friday afternoons, covering subjects such as basic maths, employability, customer services and digital skills.
Lessons will take place at the WCP building on Eden Vale Road, BA13 3NY.
Wiltshire Council say, “We can help you build a brighter future where you can gain confidence with essential training. This could lead to local employment opportunities or further learning programmes.
“Join us for free sessions in employability, customer service, and basic maths on selected dates until Thursday 20th July.”
Cllr Ashley O’Neill, Wilshire Council cabinet member for communities said, “At Wiltshire Council we have a key role to play in helping coordinate local resources and to work with partners to the benefit the local community. We want to see vibrant well-connected communities in the county and we’re pleased to have played our part in a project that will have such a positive impact on the future of local people in Westbury.”
Cllr Matthew Dean, chair of Westbury Area Board, said, “We are delighted to have worked with Wiltshire College and WCP to help facilitate this project to such a positive outcome, which will see top quality lessons and valuable skills taught in the town. Education provides real opportunities for people to build towards a brighter future and we’re looking forward to seeing the local community thrive as a result.”

“On behalf of the trustees we are so grateful that Wiltshire College and Council are prepared to invest in the dream of bringing the wonderful learning opportunities to our town. WCP listened carefully to the priorities of the community and with the town council and area board whole hearted support the dream is coming to fruition!
“My hope is that the good people of Westbury take up the offer and flood Wiltshire College with requests for places. Kevin Down the WCP manager will welcome one and all with open arms. Let’s make this work Westbury!”
