THE Memorial Theatre lineup is jam-packed with music and entertainment for the coming months.

Saturday 24th March  – 7.30pm The Circus of Horrors – Voodoo. After taking to the road over 22 years ago and touring all over the world, the phenomenon returns with its latest brand new incarnation “Voodoo”.

The spectacular features an amazing amalgamation of bizarre and fantastic circus acts, all woven into a sensational shock/horror story and the darkest of magic – taking the show to a whole new level. It’s driven by a mainly original soundscape and performed with a forked tongue firmly in each cheek, you’ll certainly die laughing.

Parental advisory – This show is not suitable for children due to adult content. Under 16s may attend if accompanied by an adult, but this will be at their own discretion.

Thursday 29th March  – 7.30pm. The Band Of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines. The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines will be returning to Frome on 29th March to play their annual concert. The annual fundraising concert allows Frome Royal Naval Association to support various activities in the local area including Sea Cadet unit TS Achilles. We invite the people of Frome and surrounding areas to offer their continuing support by joining us for our 23rd annual concert, and to enjoy this wonderful evening of music, pomp and humour. Ticket Prices* – £18

Saturday 7th April  – 7.30pm – The Magic of Hollywood – Pasha Kovalev and Anya Garnis.  Lights, camera…. ballroom. Pasha Kovalev (from ‘BBC TV’s Strictly Come Dancing’) returns with his brand new show ‘The Magic of Hollywood.’ This amazing new show will be jam-packed with sequins, glitz and glamour as Pasha takes to the stage with his sensational dancers as they perform ‘Oscar-worthy performances’ all set to a Hollywood theme…. it promises to be a night not to be missed!

Saturday 21 April  – 6.00pm – Dad’s Army “Lovingly” Alive – A Salute to the 1940s. A special commemoration to the artistes from both WW1 and WW2. Dad’s Army remains one of the most popular situation comedies on British television. It ran for 80 episodes over nine years. Now we bring to life some of the best-loved characters of Dad’s Army in this very special show.

‘A Salute to the 1940s’ is a variety show packed full of the stars who kept the nation entertained during the dark years of two world wars and of course the Home Guard of Warmington on Sea were doing their very best to protect the ‘Green and Pleasant’ shores of Great Britain. This show consists additionally of recreations in vision and sound of George Formby, Vera Lynn, The Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra and Gracie Fields, Marie Lloyd, Harry Lauder and Flanagan and Allen and a special recreation of Windsor Davies and Don Estelle  singing ‘Whispering Grass!

Prepare yourself for an afternoon of pure entertainment. This show will have you on your feet singing along and waving your flags with pride. It is all held together by your very own air raid warden, Warden Braithwaite. As soon as you walk into the room, you will be transported back into the 1940s with flags, posters and bunting. This is truly a memorable show and will finish in a truly patriotic finale which will have you bursting with pride.
