WESTBURY’S One Voice Community Choir will mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with a special concert at the Laverton, Bratton Road, on Sunday 12thJune at 1pm.
The group of enthusiastic singers say they will be presenting some of their favourite songs from the last 70 years, as well as some patriotic pieces, in honour of Her Majesty’s remarkable achievement. The audience will be treated to songs popularised by Abba, Carpenters, Carole King and many others, as well as a mini “Last Night of the Proms” section.
Savoury snacks, tea and cakes will be served. Tickets are available from Lee on 07766 244321 or at the door, priced £10.
The local class meets on Mondays at 7.30pm at the Baptist Church, West End. Anyone who loves to sing is encouraged to join.
