Hire Standards’ director Matt Rowe, and Busy Books’ Natasha Penny, attended the South West Business and Charity awards last week after being nominated and shortlisted in the Male / Female Entrepreneur of the year, SME of the year and Employer of the Year awards.
These awards recognise businesses, charities, and individuals that have made an outstanding contribution in the region. Any business or individual based within the South West can either nominate or be nominated.
The awards ceremony in its 5th year this year, is ran by the Great British Expos and was held in Swindon on Thursday evening to celebrate, where certificates were given to the shortlisted and the winners with over 500 entries this year.
Natasha said, “It was a fun evening full of charity games and auctions, a three-course dinner and a wonderful opportunity to connect up with other award-winning local businesses, supporting one another, sharing our current challenges.”
Both businesses employ local team members, are based here in Westbury and faced significant challenges and exciting growth in the past year. Having one another to run ideas by, to motivate, encourage and to understand what the other is going through really does help, say the competitive couple.
You can connect with, and find out more about both businesses and what they are up to on social media and via the websites; www.hirestandards.co.uk and www.busybookswestbury.co.uk
