‘Christmas in Westbury’ kicks off in style on Saturday (22nd November) with an exciting day of festive events culminating with the big Christmas lights switch-on.
It is the second time the switch-on has been combined with the main day of Christmas events after last year’s huge success. Now in its ninth year, Christmas in Westbury features a range of major events acting as a town focus, along with the co-promotion of other local events and activities, creating a community-wide programme that offers something for everyone.
There will also be free parking in Westbury car parks on the day.
The Events Day and Lights Switch On event will be from 10am-9pm in the town centre and Market Place. There will be a snowmen family, reindeer, music, inflatables, street entertainers, live music and dancers on the stage and much more.
The funfair will be located in the Market Place from 10am through until 9pm, with a two-deck fun house, swing boats, soft play, chair planes and refreshments.
The lights switch on event will be from 5pm in the High Street with Father Christmas, music, mince pies, mulled wine, entertainments and much more.
