THE next talk at the Dilton Marsh local history society will be on the evolution of folklore in Wiltshire.
The talk is by Julie Davis, a Wiltshire county local studies librarian, who works from the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre and through local libraries.
The presentation will take place on Friday 26th August, at 7.30pm, at Dilton Marsh Memorial Hall followed by tea/coffee and biscuits. All are welcome, entrance fee is £4 for non-members £2 for members, annual membership fee is £7.
Organisers say, “Julie is enthusiastic about local history and in her talk, she will be taking a fascinating look at the evolution and development of folklore, with examples of Wiltshire myths, tales and remedies. Questions will be appreciated.”
