THE Dilton Dash last month was a runaway success, with hundreds of pounds raised for Dilton Marsh Pre-school.
The charity run that is now in its second year was organised by the founders of Redfish Events, Tracey Hyde and Adam Firks. The business was set up by the pair with an aim of holding various events to help raise money for local charities.
About the dash Tracey Hyde said, “It was a fantastic day. Loads of people approached me to say that they thought it was a great event and that it was very family-friendly.
“So far we have raised over £500 for the school, but we are still collecting the money, so we expect this figure to grow.
“This being my second year organising the event, I was able to relax more and cheer on the runners.”
The day saw an increase in the number of people running compared to last year, with 159 people competing in the 10km run and 56 people in the 3km run.
