Discount sessions for Acupuncture Awareness Week

A LOCAL acupuncturist is hoping to help people in Westbury improve their quality of life and is offering a special reduced price to celebrate Acupuncture Awareness Week.

Ghislaine Ingman is a qualified therapist and member of the British Acupuncture Council, and runs three clinics a week in Trowbridge, Warminster and Corsham. She is offering  a consultation for £40 (reduced from £60) for new patients booking this week for an appointment, Acupuncture Awareness Week – ends Sunday 13th March.

Ghislaine, who trained for four years in Chinese medicine said, “I have treated many people with a huge variety of physical and emotional conditions, including stress-related issues, migraines and back pain. Acupuncture is a holistic medicine which treats the entire person. Treatment is therefore tailored not just towards the presenting symptom, but within the context of the individual. The beauty of this approach is that a patient often finds that other aspects of their health will improve alongside the original complaint that brought them for treatment.”

Acupuncture is a treatment derived from ancient Chinese medicine in which fine needles are inserted at certain sites in the body for therapeutic or preventative purposes.

One of Ghislaine’s patients, Claire Beauchamp, insists the treatment has changed her life. Claire said, “The needles didn’t hurt and it was a very relaxing experience. Just 24 hours later I felt an overwhelming sense of calm for the first time in months. My husband has treatment and we have both noticed a big change in our quality of life, we have become closer and more relaxed in our relationship. We sleep better and have more energy.

“I feel like a different person. I am relaxed, happier and the stress has all but gone from my life.”

Ghislaine explains, “Acupuncture is a very natural approach to healthcare and has proved the test of time as it has been around for thousands of years. It’s a system of medicine in its own right and complements the healthcare offered by the NHS medical provisions. It can often help with symptoms which are unexplained via Western medicine. But acupuncture is no quick fix, treatment all depends on the individual but it can typically take between six and eight weeks to rebalance the body’s energy and progress is reviewed at intervals which suit the individual.”

For an informal chat and to book an appointment telephone Ghislaine on 07818 517785 or visit www.qimen-acupuncture. org to find out more.
