Fire crews are currently attending a major field and grassland fire near the Westbury White Horse this evening, Thursday 13th August.
The fire service has warned of a large amount of smoke and asked people to avoid the area while firefighters work to bring the incident under control.
Residents concerned about the smoke are advised to keep windows and doors closed.
