ALL Saints Church, Westbury will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the casting of their bells by attempting a full peal on 27th December at 10.00am.

The full peal is expected to last almost four hours and bell ringers will be ringing exactly 100 years to the day of the first peal of the new bells.
All Saints Westbury has a splendid ring of eight bells cast in 1921 by John Taylor and co of Loughborough, with the largest bell, the tenor, weighing in at 35 cwt, (1.3/4 tonnes) This makes them the third heaviest ring of eight bells in the world, second in the country to Sherborne Abbey in Dorset. They are known world-wide as being one of the finest set of bells ever cast.
The ringing of the bells will be shown on the large screen within the church.
