Garston Veterinary Group celebrated their first year in Westbury on the 1st June and continue to get involved within the local community.
John Gould one of the small animal partners said, “The success of Westbury has been overwhelming, we have far exceeded our expectations of where we expected to be in terms of new clients.
“As we have always stated we feel that, as an independent veterinary group, it is important that we get involved within the local community. To that end we are sponsoring the local Westbury Junior Rugby Club Under 7s and Under 9s, providing their kits for next season.
“On 29th June we will be the main sponsors for the Westbury Lions Donkey Derby which we are all looking forward to as it promises to be a good family fun day out. Saturday 5th July sees us team up with Hilary Reed, Westbury Person of the Year, to take part in a sponsored guide dog walk at Brokerswood. Everyone is welcome and we will be raising money to sponsor our very own puppy named Garston.
“We will also be participating in the Westbury Street Fair on 12th July and will have open house for anyone wishing to come in to the surgery. There will be a dog show held on the same day and we will be sponsoring this by providing the rosettes.
“Added to this we have assisted with mentoring at Matravers School and taken rabbits into local play groups and explained basic husbandry to the children.
“We have enjoyed our first year and look forward to expanding both the business and our links with the town.”
