THE Westbury community has been rallying round to help support the most vulnerable people in our community.

Both Westbury Town Council and Westbury Community Fridge have paid tribute to all the local people who have made donations of food during the current crisis.
“Here are just a fraction of the 100 + boxes that have been made up over the past month,” said Westbury Community Fridge. “Thanks to all of our amazing volunteers for delivering these boxes every week, and a big thanks to #AldiWestbury & #MorrisonsWestbury for the food donations, and all the members of the public who have also donated.”
Town Clerk, Deborah Urch from Westbury Town Council said, “Once again, thank you for the generous donations you have made that has allowed the town council to deliver food parcels to those who are vulnerable, self-isolating or simply unable to afford food at this time because they can’t work during the Covid-19 lockdown.

“Pictured is Steve Hubbard, our local Area Coordinator for Wiltshire Council, collecting cereal, butter, cheese and biscuits to deliver to two schools in the community which are staying open to look after a small number of students. I think Steve might need a bigger car!
“Hope everyone is keeping safe during these strange times, please don’t forget we are still able to help if you need food. If you cant leave the house or are in need of some food please contact info@westburytowncouncil.gov.uk”
