TO celebrate the reopening of Westbury Youth Club in September, the club is hosting a free open session for the youth of Westbury.
The club at Leigh Park Community Centre was forced to close in early June due to a volunteer shortage, but after a successful campaign, the club now has enough volunteers to reopen. On Saturday 2nd September, children between 11 and 18, are invited to come along for a roller disco and the opportunity to sign up for membership and meet the new volunteers. Parents are also welcome to come and ask questions and to find out more information.
Anyone interested in volunteering for the club is also invited to the open session to find out more and to hear about how they will be helping the community, as well benefiting themselves taking on a rewarding role.
The roller disco starts at 10.00am – 1.00pm. For skates to be provided, a booking must be made. Either call Debbie on 01373 825774 or email leighparkcommunitycentre@hotmail .co.uk.
The youth club officially reopens on Wednesday 13th September and will be open during term-time from 6-8pm. For more details about the club and about becoming a volunteer please email Debbie at leighpark communitycentre@hotmail.co.uk
