FOLLOWING the huge success of Westbury’s first Oktoberfest, organisers have announced the event will return, on Saturday 7th October.
The festival, which takes place at The Horse and Groom, raises money for local causes – this year the money raised will go to local youth groups and schools.
Bruce Hewitson, one of the organisers said, “Following the great success of the first event, there is definitely room in the town’s calendar for a second festival.
“Last year, more than 200 people attended and we raised £600 for local good causes. It was far better than we expected, with visitors coming from all over Wiltshire.
“This year’s Oktoberfest will feature classic German beer festival lagers, as well as outstanding British cask conditioned ales. And of course, no event like this would be complete without German sausages, pretzels and other delicious foods. Then to round it off, live music will be on the menu as well.”
Please be aware this is an all-ticket event and is also for over-18s only. Tickets cost £7 and are available from The Horse & Groom.
Barrels will be sponsored and if you or your company wish to sponsor a barrel, please call Bruce Hewitson on 07968 662593 or the The Horse & Groom.
Like last year, everyone will be given a Festival glass. The colour will be changed for those of you who are collectors.
