Sat. 10th Oct. League Westbury Utd Res 0 Calne Eagles 0
EARLY in the match Whitehead was causing problems down the left hand side and had the first chance.
Twenty minutes in and Dawes was unlucky not to score when his volley came back off the bar. The second half was very similar to the first as Utd had most of the possession but couldn’t find a way past a hard working Calne team. Kenich and Trevor wasted good chances for the Greens in the last twenty minutes to give them the three points that they wanted.
Eagles could have snatched victory in the final minutes when they had their best chances of the match, with Howarth making a vital block in his last game for the club.

Sat. 17th Oct. League Westbury Utd Res 4 Dilton Marsh Wanderers FC 0
WITH last week’s lacklustre performance firmly in the memory, Utd come out firing and were unlucky not to take the lead when Ollie Dew’s free kick hit the bar.
Dilton could have taken the lead after 15 minutes but for a last ditch challenge by captain Kenich. Twenty minutes in, it was Chris Steele who scored the opening goal to calm any nerves. Ten minutes later Gane scored Westbury’s second and the Greens were really pressing for more goals. Just before half time, Trevor’s great turn and shot hit the bar and then Worsfold went close from a free kick, but Parker produced a great save.
Early in the second half, Steele got one of his trademark tap ins which was his second goal of the game. Dew should have got his first goal of the season, but managed to screw the ball wide of the goal from 8 yards. Dew made amends a few minutes later when he played a clever ball through to Dawes, who made no mistake with a classy finish. The score finished 4-0 and puts Westbury top of the table after three games without conceding a goal.
