Westbury Area Board has grant funding available for local projects and community engagement manager, Graeme Morrison, is inviting applications from organisations with project ideas which need some support to get up and running.
Graeme said, “We have three separate pots of money available to local groups. If you have a project or an idea which could do with some financial support, please get in touch with me. I am happy to discuss any ideas.”
The three different grant pots are outlined below:
Community Area Grants: Capital grants only – money available for equipment or capital investment to improve a current or new project/facility. Maximum grant of £5,000. Any project which has a total cost of more than £1,000 requires 50% match funding i.e. for any project worth more than £1,000 the Community Area Grant can fund a maximum of 50% of the total project cost.
Local Youth Network Grants: Grant available for capital and revenue costs i.e. grants can be used to cover running costs as well as buy equipment or improving facilities. Grants available for new projects aimed at young people between the age of 13 and 19.
Health and Wellbeing Grants: Grants available for capital and revenue costs – for projects aimed at improving the Health and Wellbeing of people in the community over the age of 55.
The best way to get hold of Graeme Morrison to discuss you project is either by emailing graeme.morrison @wiltshire.gov.uk or by calling 07986 365943.
