AN aspiring firefighter from Westbury Leigh is shaving off all her hair to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity.
Mitch Smart will lose her hair – which reaches her waist – on Saturday 3rd October. And Mitch’s hair won’t be going to waste, it will be donated to charity to help make wigs for children who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.
Speaking to White Horse News, Mitch said, “I’m trying to get into Westbury Fire Service as a retained firefighter – I think they do an excellent job, it’s amazing what that they go through, and I think they could do with our support.”
The Fire Fighters Charity offers specialist, lifelong support for members of the UK fire services community, empowering individuals to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives.
