Has your child just passed their GCSEs and is now studying A-levels? Whether they are planning to go on to university or are undecided as to what their next steps will be, the University of Bath’s On Track to Bath programme can help.
On Track to Bath is a free two-year programme enabling Year 12 A-level students to experience university study first-hand whilst also enriching their classroom learning. On Track participants are given the opportunity to work with University of Bath staff and current students to explore a subject that they are interested in. The programme supports and complements A-level courses (including extended project qualifications) and includes subject tracks in: science, social sciences, business, economics & entrepreneurship, languages, computer science and electronics.
Over the course of the programme, On Track to Bath students have access to university resources, facilities and expertise as they undertake their own research project. They also experience a four-day summer residential and get help in making a competitive university application. Students who excel in the programme are also eligible for an alternative grade offer for the University of Bath.
Taking part in On Track to Bath is a great opportunity; your child could then strengthen their UCAS application, develop their independent learning skills and get a genuine flavour of what life is really like at one of the UK’s leading universities. What’s there to lose?
Places for On Track to Bath are limited, but there is still time to apply before Wednesday 10th October, the application deadline. More details, including the eligibility criteria, are on their website at http:// go.bath.ac.uk/wp-on-track
