WESTBURY will be represented nationally by fourteen-year old Annie Bell, who has been scouted to compete as Junior Miss Westbury in the Junior Miss British Isles contest next month.
Annie, a student at Matravers School, will attend the Miss British Isles competition on Sunday 26th May at the Crown Plaza hotel in Chester.
She was scouted via her instagram page by the competition, a page she has set up for her interests in performing arts. She attends the Pauline Quirke Academy of performing arts in Bath and is a regular performer during shows and musical performances at Matravers.
During the competition, Annie will walk the runway in various outfits whilst being judged. She will also have a photoshoot before and during the event. If successful, Annie will be Junior Miss British Isles for a year, win a modelling contract and agree to a minimum of 10 nationwide appearances.
Annie said, “I was shocked, happy and excited to be invited and proud to be Miss Westbury.”
Her mother, Alison said, “We are now looking for sponsors as it is an expensive business. We have to fund it ourselves or ask for sponsorship help to fund entrance, hotels, travel, dresses etc. We are hoping that local businesses will help fund either part or full costings. Sponsors would then be able to use Annie and her title to promote themselves and their business locally and maybe even nationally if she does well.”
