The children at Kingfisher pre school are having an active autumn with a weekly session with Active Trowbridge in addition to their normal outdoor activities.
The pre-school manager Tracy Raymond said, “The children really enjoy the weekly visits from Active Trowbridge. They have the opportunity to develop physical skills whilst having lots of fun.”
The theme this term has been physical fun, with dance being included next term. Getting outside whenever possible is a valuable part of the Kingfisher sessions and the children love it. Comments from the children after the sessions included, “I like the circle one” and “I enjoy running around”.
Other special events this term have included the school’s own mini Bake Off with the children making mini muffins for snack time and to take home, and bringing your teddy to pre-school.
Tracy added, “Fundraising for the RUH at Bath is a cause that is close to our hearts at Kingfisher. Many of us have experienced first-hand the children’s ward there, and we participate in ‘Ted’s Big Day Out annually”. The children raised £26 for the RUH appeal this year.
Kingfisher is open daily for children from three to school age, and will be opening additional sessions from January to include two year olds. If you would like more details please call Tracy on 07803 548406.
