ENTRIES are now open for the White Horse Gallop, a hilly eight-mile trail run, returning to Westbury after a three year hiatus.
The run will take place on Sunday 18th October starting at 10.30am.
Organiser Darren Wrintmore said, “After an absence of nearly three years the White Horse Gallop trail run is coming back to Westbury. Though this time it will be longer and tougher, as the 8-mile route starting from Leighton Recreation field takes you to the top of the hill to get you up close and personal with the White Horse.
“The picturesque course will then take you back down to the foot of the hill before climbing up alongside the chalk figure. The run also takes in sections of the Imber Range Path and the Wessex Ridgeway, with all finishers receiving a unique memento of the event.”
Entries cost £14 per affiliated runner, or £16 for unattached runners. Runners must join up by advance registration only – there will be no entries on the day. To register or see the route, go to www.stampedesports.com.
