A new Westbury company is proving that blocked drains and drainage problems do not have to be an ongoing nightmare. All Drainage Services Ltd (ADS) was set up by business partners Andy Burden and Steve Lott. In just six weeks of business they are already finding that their 24-hour response service and friendly approach is proving to be a successful combination. At the beginning of the year the duo invested in a van and specialist equipment, and are now finding the business very much in demand for everything from blocked drains, preventative drain maintenance, advice, repairs, fault finding, dig and non-dig solutions, and camera surveys. They have even established a number of company contracts, alongside an increasing list of individual clients. Rather than enforcing a set initial call-out charge, Andy’s experience means he can often assess problems over the phone. “What happens is we speak to the customer on the phone, and I can usually diagnose the problem there and then,” he explained. “We only charge when we go out according to what needs doing.” With over 10 years of experience working for both big companies and small franchises, Andy was keen to set up his own company, “With a small company you can offer a much more friendly and relaxed approach, and you get to know your customers,” he explained. “It also means we’re able to offer a cheaper service than bigger companies.” Andy and Steve are delighted with the response they have received so far and with business going so well, they are already thinking about the future. “It’s been absolutely brilliant, we couldn’t have wished for a better start,” Steve said. “Our aims are to get another van, another engineer, and we’ll expand quite quickly if things keep going the way they are! We’re looking forward to meeting all our new customers.” Based in Westbury, ADS covers Wiltshire, Somerset, and Bath. You can contact ADS on 01373 670192, 07545 244880 (Andy) or 07968 966946 (Steve).
