Westbury Lions Club has made a donation of £2,500 to Westbury charity Crosspoint to help support counselling and therapy services for local children and young people.
Club President Angie Fawcett presented a cheque to Andrew McNeilis from Crosspoint at the club’s Charter celebration last month.
“The donation will help fund youth counselling and therapeutic support provided by Crosspoint, which works with families across the Westbury community,” said Heather Blackley from Westbury Lions. “The funding comes at a time when demand for mental health and emotional wellbeing services for young people continues to grow.
“Westbury Lions Club is proud to support a project that will make a direct difference to the lives of children and young people in our area.”
Crosspoint thanked the Lions Club for the donation and said the funding would help more young people access professional support in a safe and welcoming environment.
The charity, based in the Market Place, Westbury, provides a range of services designed to improve wellbeing, support mental health and help children and families through difficult times.
