Matravers School was proud to support the local Warminster community in their annual Remembrance Parade on Sunday 8th November.
A representative from the school said, “This solemn and beautiful occasion allows us to remember the soldiers, families and communities affected by the wars and conflicts of this century and the last. It is an opportunity for our community to reflect and recall the sacrifice of others.
“The honour of being asked to commence the parade was high praise indeed and reflects the outstanding relationship formed between the school and the Land Warfare Centre.
“Nathan Chadwick, a year 11 pupil at Matravers School, made the announcement for the parade to commence with a set of orders provided by GSM Adam Diver. He did this powerfully and with clarity and on his command the veteran bikers revved and led the parade to the memorial.
“Nathan was supported by his family and Mr Anderson and Ms Marsden represented the school at this important event.”
