Nearly 50 women gathered for Suave in Westbury’s Ladies’ Day which raised more than £400 for a local charity.
Shelley Sperring from Suave said, “It is always a sell-out. The ladies were greeted with a few glasses of Pimm’s punch followed by a buffet lunch of quiches, a selection of salads and hot chorizo potatoes. The betting was run by Corals and they raised £260.
“Afternoon tea, cakes and scones with clotted cream and strawberries was served at 3.00pm. We held a raffle during the afternoon, which raised £195. During the evening we had a disco and some surprise butlers in the buff.
“The money is going to a local family who over the past year has had more than their fair share of bad luck.”
The event included Shetland ponies from Shetland parties, The Ham, Westbury and fun betting from Corals.
