Westbury Morrisons hosted its second annual summer market on Saturday 9th July raising £580.53 for Sue Ryder.
The market took place in the store’s car park and attracted a lot of customers and members of the community.
Community champion, Lisa Litterick said, “We had ten stalls selling a variety of goods, as well as Morrisons staff running a raffle, pre-loved sale and refreshments and Westbury Guides bag packing in store. Despite the wind, we had a fantastic turn out and managed to raise a massive £580.53 for our charity partner, Sue Ryder.
“We wanted to beat the amount raised last year, which was around £250 so I think it’s safe to say we absolutely smashed it! Our customers always blow us away with their support and generosity. Good fun was had by all!
“As this year is our final year supporting Sue Ryder, we want to make this a year to remember. Doing events to fundraise like this is a big part of Morrisons and we are all looking forward to our Road to Rio celebrations during August.”
