THE winner of a competition for the best protest photograph against the proposed Westbury incinerator, has collected her prize.
The winning photo of Nessie the bearded dragon was taken by owner, Lisa Bryant. The prize was a hedgehog house, handmade by furniture designer Dan Gmaj, a member of the local group WGAG/No Westbury Incinerator.
Dan said, “Nessie insisted on checking out the new ‘Hedgehog House’ herself before her keeper (and photographer) Lisa finds a suitable corner in her garden to give visiting hedgehogs a safe haven over the winter period!
“Well done Lisa and many thanks to all who are displaying their own objections to the Hills/NRE proposals. Cards Plus still have some of our lovely Yellow #NoWestburyIncinerator posters on the counter (I think?) otherwise contact us to get some.
“It’s always a good idea to have at least one leafy/compostey corner in your garden to encourage wildlife.”
