BITHAM Brook Primary School has welcomed a new headteacher to the school this term.
David Ross says he wants to continue on the good work of the school’s previous head, John Kimberley, who has retired.
David has been teaching since 1983 and his recent experience includes periods as acting head at Heytesbury Primary School near Warminster, and head of school support at Wiltshire Council.
David explained what attracted him to Bitham Brook Primary School. “I was looking for an excellent primary school, and I was very excited when Bitham Brook came up. There’s a real buzz about the place, the children are very enthusiastic, and it’s a lovely learning environment. Everything about the school just clicked for me.
“I initially visited the school on a really hot Friday afternoon and thought that would be a good test! I found the children to be very polite, engaged, and focused.
“I want to build on the fantastic job the previous head John Kimberley, who has just retired, has done. I want to continue on the improvements he’s made, continue with the outdoor learning space, and make sure this school is the best it can possibly be.
“I also want to develop links with the community and give more opportunities for parents to be involved in children’s learning.”
