THE February meeting was held on Thursday 11th, and this evening is special every year as apart from remembering events over the past 12 months it is also time to elect a new committee.
Jenny Coates, WI advisor was welcomed to oversee the proceedings and offer professional help if needed.
Treasurer Sara Honor presented the financial statement and the Committee’s report was given by Alison Irving who reminded members how much had taken place in 2015. Centenary celebrations, garden party, group meeting at Bratton and celebratory dinners, as well as the monthly guest speakers.
President Mickey Fitzpatrick gave her report and thanked her committee and members for their support during her time in office and stated, “The most important part of the WI is its members.”
Thanks were also given to those members who unfailingly helped at the monthly meetings, and Priscilla Grey for her hard work in fund raising.
Following the election Alison Irving was voted in as President for 2016-2017 and has now to convene with her new committee.
