ENTRIES are now open for the Xmas 3k Fun Run taking place on Sunday 8th December at Leighton Recreation Centre in aid of Westbury Lions.
The fun run has been organised by Redfish Events for the fourth year who say, “We are working together with Leighton Recreation Centre again for this year’s Xmas fun run! The course is contained in the grounds of the leisure centre so everyone is welcome – adults, children, dogs and fancy dress is encouraged!
“There will be a free Santa hat for everyone to wear and the event is supporting Westbury Lions.
“There will also be a medal for all finishers as well as prizes for the first male and female, first boy and girl aged 11-16, first boy and girl aged 10 and under, first dog and best fancy dress.
“Parking is limited, so please think about car sharing or walking if local.
“The run starts at 10.30am where there will be a short briefing before the race for your safety.
“The 3K race is open to all, but under 10s must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are welcome on a lead. We regret that the course is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. Headphones are not permitted for safety, please do not break these rules otherwise you will be disqualified. This is for everyone’s safety.
“Places are limited to 200 places, so please book early and we look forward to seeing you. Race entries are open till 6pm Sunday 1st December or will close earlier if the race limit is reached. There will be no entries on the day.
“3K entrance fee is £6 affiliated to a running club, £8 unattached, under 10s must be accompanied by an adult.”
