BROKERSWOOD Country Park has announced plans to change the focus of its business from January 2013.
As of the new year, the country park, which has recently been praised for its excellent education programme by the David Bellamy Award scheme, will welcome schools and groups for educational visits to the private estate, providing a wealth of opportunities for outdoor learning for children and adults.
Brokerswood will retain its caravan, motorhome and tent pitches and will continue to welcome visitors from across the UK and Europe to Wiltshire each year, although the park will no longer be accessible to day visitors.
Owner Sue Capon said, “As a family we have taken the decision to change the direction of Brokerswood to allow us to provide an exclusive educational resource whilst preserving the ancient woodland for future generations.
“Whilst this does mean that the park will no longer be accessible to day visitors, members of the public will be able to join in with various themed eco-activity days held throughout the year. Our caravan and camping site will also remain open for those wishing to stay at Brokerswood Country Park for longer periods.”
Brokerswood Country Park will remain open to day visitors until the end of December 2012.
