A lecture by Dr Keith Hooper on Charles Dickens’s Our Mutual Friend: The Writer and his Final Completed Novel, will be held at Westbury Library on Tuesday 29th September at 7.00pm.
To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the publication of Charles Dickens’s last novel, Dr Keith Hooper will present an illustrated lecture on the book and its writer. His previous two appearances at the Westbury Music and Arts Festival (Jane Austen and Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre) have been very well received.
Awarded a doctorate from the University of Exeter for his thesis on Dickens, he has proved an accomplished speaker on nineteenth century literature across the region.
