There’s a lot going on at the Athenaeum!
The Warminster theatre has unveiled a packed programme for the autumn and winter months, featuring comedy, music, theatre, film and talks, alongside productions by its own in-house groups showcasing local talent.
“We have a great line-up through to the end of the year,” said Jon Ellis from the theatre. “Shows include a debut visit from psychic medium Mitch Garlington, Mark Steel at the Warminster Comedy Club and a fascinating talk from famed mountaineer, Simon Yates.
“There is music from Beatles Complete – direct from their residency at the Cavern Club in Liverpool – and a screening of The Golden Boy, filmed live from the National Theatre in London. Then a trio of shows from our in-house groups featuring some amazing local talent – Jekyll & Hyde, The Flint Street Nativity, and finally, our ever-popular pantomime, Snow White. “Come along to a magical evening with spiritual medium Mitch Garlington who has been working for the spirit world for over 15 years,” say the organisers.
Saturday 10th @ 7:30 pm
The Warminster Comedy Club (18+)
“Warminster Comedy Night returns with a fantastic evening of live stand-up comedy, headlined by one of Britain’s most celebrated comedians, Mark Steel,” said the theatre.
“Known for his appearances on Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You, QI, Mock the Week, and his long-running BBC Radio 4 series Mark Steel’s in Town, Mark has established himself as one of the UK’s sharpest, funniest and most respected stand-up comedians.
“Joining Mark is the brilliant Matt Richardson, a familiar face from television with appearances including The Xtra Factor, Celebrity Juice, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Dancing on Ice, and many more.”

Simon Yates of Touching the Void – My Mountain Life
Simon is best known for his role in Joe Simpson’s bestseller ‘Touching The Void’ and is one of the most accomplished exploratory mountaineers of all time.

Film: “Wuthering Heights” (15)
Based on the classic novel by Emily Brontë. A forbidden relationship unfolds between Cathy (Margot Robbie) and Heathcliff (Jacob Elordi), which develops from quiet longing to a dangerous pull of intense attraction, passion and increasing turmoil.

Beatles Complete – A Tribute to the Fab Four
They’re back! Following their two sell-out shows in Warminster in 2025, Beatles Complete return to the The Athenæum for another night of Beatlemania.
Having performed more than 250 shows at Liverpool’s world-famous Cavern Club, where they continue to perform every Thursday, Beatles Complete bring classic songs spanning The Beatles’ recording career, from Please Please Me to Let It Be.
“This is a night not to be missed for all Beatles fans,” say the organisers.

Jekyll & Hyde by the Athenaeum Masqueraders
“Based on the classic novella by Robert Louis Stevenson, Jekyll & Hyde is a sweeping musical thriller featuring a soaring score, unforgettable characters, and a story that has captivated audiences for generations,” says the Masqueraders.
