A CHILDREN’S Easter holiday bible club will be held online again this year as the pandemic continues, following the success of the 2020 event.
Last year, at short notice, Providence Baptist Church in Dilton Marsh couldn’t run their planned club as normal due to Covid, and went virtual instead.
A church spokesperson said, “While it wasn’t as good as the real thing, there was a super response from families which was lovely to see. Knowing that restrictions would still be in place at Easter, the team at Providence have been able to plan this year’s event knowing that an in-person club wasn’t going to be possible.”
This year, the theme is ‘The Promise’, tracing the story of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ from promises God made to Abraham and David.
The club is aimed at 4 to 11 year olds (with their parents) and will run from Tuesday 13th to Thursday 15th April. Each day begins at 10.15am. There will be a video of about 20 minutes including a Bible story and a quiz as well as activity sheets and ideas for crafts. Everything takes place on the church’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/ providencepenknap
The church encourages parents to put up pictures on Facebook of the crafts that their children have done. There are prizes available for all who join in.
