REGULARS from The Horse and Groom walked their dogs for 20 miles through torrential rain in aid of the Bradley Lowery Foundation. The nation was touched by six-year old Bradley, who died last year from cancer.
Totalling 43,300 steps, the 43 locals are supporting the foundation’s campaign to raise funds for a holiday home for sick children and their families.
The walk started early on Saturday 10th February in Heytesbury and ended, via Bratton, with a meal at The Horse and Groom in Westbury just in time to catch the England vs Wales six nations match.
They walked along the northern edge of Salisbury Plain with several challenging climbs en route.
The walkers raised £500, which will be added to the total raised by the group of men walking 327 miles from Bournemouth to Sunderland in March.
Organiser Pete Dunn praised the walkers and the support team for giving up their time to take part in this cause.
