THE Rotary Club of Westbury recently embarked on a clean-up mission of the area next to the White Horse.

Jon Street, president elect of Westbury Rotary Club said, “Eight Rotarians of Westbury Rotary Club (along with a local family and a couple of Westbury Lions) took part in a litter pick on the Bratton open space adjacent to the Westbury White Horse.
“Not so much litter was collected as in previous years, which is a compliment to the folk of Westbury and visitors to the area. We left the area in a much better state than we found it and received compliments from some of the visiting paragliders – I suppose they can see the litter better from up there!
“As the weather was wonderful, we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. Many thanks to Westbury Town Council for supplying the equipment and Rotarian, Allan Bull, for organising the event.”
