The White Horse Soapbox Derby will once again be offering coaches to transport people to the free event that is happening opposite Long River Farm at Newtown in Westbury on Saturday 20th May from 10am to 7pm.
Two coaches, provided by Chandlers, will be running throughout the day from Westbury Football Club at Meadow Lane where there is limited free parking. This is the ideal location for Westbury residents that decide to walk down to the football club and want to catch a ride to the bottom of Newtown.
Another two coaches will be running from the old cement works car park and dropping off at the bottom of Newtown. The event license means no vehicles are allowed onsite this year, while Newtown itself is too narrow for coaches to turn on.
Coach timetable
Coaches will be running continuously from 9.30am to 2pm, then on the hour from 3pm, 4pm, and 5pm. The coaches will then be running continuously from 6pm to 7.30pm.
For residents with a disabled blue badge, minibuses with wheelchair access will be running from the High Street car park. These buses will be running on the hour from 9.30am until 12.30pm, then from 3pm, 5pm and 7pm. These will be the only vehicles coming onto site on the day, dropping residents off at the entrance of the event.
The coach and bus services are paid for by Westbury Town Council and the event’s sponsors: Arke Ltd, Torn// Honeystone Web Design // White Horse CAD Limited // Whitehorse Equestrian Centre // Landmarc // Westbury Ford Just Workwear // Western Skip Hire Ltd // Newland Homes // We Make Time Machines // Westbury Festival // Gooding Accounts Ltd.
