BITHAM Brook Primary School pupils’ sporting achievements were applauded recently when they were invited to the Wiltshire and Swindon Sports Awards.
This is a highly prestigious event hosted by Phil De Glanville, former England rugby captain, and with guest speaker Paralympic gold medallist Mark Colbourne MBE. This event recognised and rewarded sporting dedication, achievement and success across the county.
Children from Bitham Brook were awarded the prize for achieving the greatest success across all primary school games in Wiltshire, including being Wiltshire Girls Football and Swimming champions, and West Wiltshire Boys Football and Netball Champions.
Mike Slater, sports and PE subject leader said, “This is a fantastic achievement for the school and I am very proud of all the hard work, determination and commitment that the children have made. Sporting success has gripped the whole school so that all the children want to achieve their very best.”
