LOCAL woman Michelle Bateman has continued her annual efforts to spread Christmas cheer by handing out gifts cards and treats to the hardworking staff at the White Horse Health Centre (WHHC).
Each Christmas for the past three years, Michelle, who is registered blind, has helped local people in the build-up to Christmas by donating items such as toiletries and food to local charities, and this year she has decided to do something to benefit the health professionals and staff at WHHC.
Michelle’s carer Richard Dredge, says, “Michelle gets into the spirit of Christmas each year and this year is no different as she has sent many cards and treats such as chocolates, cakes and mince pies for all the NHS staff at the WHHC – including nurses, receptionists, her GP and at Shaunaks Pharmacy.
“Michelle did this as she wanted to express her deep appreciation for all staff at the WHHC who have shown their hard work and dedication to local people in recent times. She often shows her generosity at Christmas time (and has done for the past three years) and at other times when she feels the need to sprinkle a little kindness someone’s way.
“She also donates food and toiletries to both the Westbury and Warminster food banks as well as buying clothes and food for homeless people. Michelle is wheelchair bound but it doesn’t stop her spreading a little happiness!”
