A LITTER pick was recently held in Leigh Park to help get the town ready for the Jubilee.
The community spring clean was organised by Jamie Harper, a ten-year-old Westbury schoolboy, as reported in the last issue of the White Horse News. Jamie appealed to the people of Westbury to come and help the Daily Mail’s nationwide ‘Spring Queen for the Queen’ campaign with a litter pick in Westbury. The campaign asks volunteers to spend 60 minutes picking litter, recognising the 60 years of service the Queen has given to the UK, and be in with the chance of winning £10,000 for the community by sending in a ‘before’ and ‘after’ photograph.
