The Prestbury Sports Bar nestles down a small side street in Warminster, behind the Athenaeum Theatre, and prides itself on hosting a continuous stream of great acts for locals and regulars alike.
The cosy and friendly venue was packed out on Sunday 24th July when Navi, the renowned Michael Jackson impersonator, was booked to perform.
People had come from far and wide, the furthest being Lancashire, to see Navi, who seems to have a large and faithful following from all corners, and he did not disappoint. Even with the restrictions of space Navi had two dancers with him and put on a brilliant performance.
From his attention to detail with his appearance and costumes to his mesmeric impersonation, the result was a magical evening full of nostalgia and not without a hint of regret as Navi’s eerie likeness to Jackson reminded us all that Michael was indeed gone.
From ABC to Billy Jean, Beat it to Can You Feel It, Navi smoothly covers all bases for Jackson fans and with a grace and genuine delight in all his fans and audience, making everyone feel a part of his own real love and admiration for the great Michael Jackson himself.
More great shows are to come and on the 13th August Prestbury Sports Bar will see a Madonna tribute.
Fans of Madonna are in for a real treat when one of the top acts, Kayleigh performs her tribute to the superstar with free admission from 8pm.
Kayleigh is first to admit that her success on the pub and club circuit is due to the huge success of Madonna and her music, “I’m just lucky to look and sound like her ,” Kayleigh says.
Madonna has sold more than 300 million records worldwide and is recognised as the best-selling female recording artist of all time by Guinness World Records. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) listed her as the best-selling female rock artist of the 20th century and according to Billboard, Madonna is the top touring female artist of all time, grossing over a billion dollars from her concerts.
Madonna became one of the five founding members of the UK Music Hall of Fame and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in her first year of eligibility.
