ALL Saints Church is launching a new series of talks commemorating key events of the Second World War.
This series is being run to complement the WW1 Centenary series of talks which they have been holding over the last four years in All Saints Church Westbury
Organisers explain, “We are beginning with the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbour and hope to cover further 75th anniversaries in the coming months and years.
“Pearl Harbour was the event that brought America into the war and began the war in the East. The surprise attack on the US naval base at Pearl Harbour signalled Japan’s attempt to take out the US navy whilst moored at its largest base in the Pacific and thus ease its way to taking control of Asia and the Far East.”
The event is being held in All Saints Church, Westbury, on the 15th September at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5 on the door.
