WESTBURY Town Council has expressed sadness at the news that cllr Mike Kettlety, died suddenly last week, on Friday 11th March.
A statement from the council reads, “It is with great sadness that we must announce the sudden death of councillor Mike Kettlety on Friday 11th March at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. Mike was a stalwart of Westbury Town Council having served the Westbury East Ward for six years. Mike was a champion for the disadvantaged and his political life reflected this.
“He was always willing to share his extensive knowledge, and his dry sense of humour could be relied on to lighten any situation. The community has not lost just a councillor, with a wealth of knowledge, we have all lost a true friend of Westbury town. Our thoughts are with Mike’s family and friends at this time.”
