DILTON Marsh Primary School has begun preparing for its annual family scarecrow trail, and applications are now open via the school.
The theme of this year’s trail is ‘Nursery Rhymes’. The trail doesn’t run until May but the school say the event is getting bigger every year, so plenty of planning time is being given.
The Scarecrow Trail will run from Saturday 21st May to Sunday 22th May. The plan is that people make a scarecrow to stand somewhere in the village – outside their house or even looking out of a window. For people living outside the village, a home for your scarecrow can be arranged.
The challenge will be to find and record every scarecrow in the village. Scarecrow Trail sheets will be sold for £3 per family. There will be a prize for the people’s favourite scarecrow.
The event relies on the help and involvement of local families and groups. To become a part of the trail, applications must be submitted by Friday 22nd April. For more information contact Dilton Marsh School on 01373 822902
