A LOCAL Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) fundraising group is looking for volunteers to help with money collections.
Collections are currently held in and around the Trowbridge area, but the group is hoping to expand the area they cover if more volunteers from the Westbury area come forward.
Robin Silman who is from Bratton and a member of the Trowbridge and Bradford on Avon RNLI fundraising branch, told White Horse News, “Just over one year ago we sadly and suddenly lost our chairlady and that has had quite an effect on some of our committee members. It has come to the situation that we could do with a few more volunteers to help when we do our ‘bucket collections’.
The RNLI is a charity that saves lives at sea by providing lifeboat search and rescue, lifeguards, water safety education and flood rescue.
