Across Wiltshire, there are Christmas jumpers just waiting to be worn. This year, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust would like you to wear your ‘Woolly for Wildlife’.
Liz Boden, on behalf of WWT said, “We can take away the misery or the guilt of having to wear that hideous Christmas jumper or give you the perfect excuse to wear it with pride. We’re asking you to put on your Woolly for Wildlife, take a selfie and post on facebook or twitter and then make a £5 donation to Wiltshire Wildlife Trust. All you need to do is text the message WOOL13 £5 to 70070. You can even gift aid so we benefit from a 25% boost to your donation.
“We receive 100% of every donation and all text messages are free on all networks, with the exception of Virgin Media. If you can’t text, then please make your donation online at www.wiltshirewildlife. org. Make it fun and nominate someone else to wear their jumper too.”
Michele Gard, fundraising manager said, “I love the thought of giving everyone the perfect excuse to get the Christmas jumpers out, wear them with pride and support a local charity working right here on your doorstep.
“So please support your local wildlife and let’s see those jumpers being put to good use. We’d love to see your pictures, so why not email a copy to info@ wiltshirewildlife.org and we’ll add you to our website gallery.”
Liz added, “There’s a Wiltshire Wildlife Trust nature reserve within 10 miles of everyone living in Wiltshire and Swindon. With your help we can do more for our wildlife and their habitats and have some festive fun at the same time.
“Together, we can make a difference for Wiltshire’s wildlife – wear your Woolly for Wildlife with pride.”
